In a nutshell: AMD is dominating Amazon’s best-selling CPU chart, despite Intel offering discounts on several of its chips and some of team red’s processors selling above MSRP.
AMD has been eroding Intel’s share of the CPU market for years. The former’s chips are now found in 30% of Steam users’ PCs, while other reports have also shown team blue losing ground to its rival.
But with Intel having the advantage of owning its fabs, the company has avoided many of the availability issues caused by the global chip shortage. It’s even reducedmany of its top processors at a time when PC component prices are skyrocketing. So, one might imagine the Core range is taking up most of the slots on Amazon’s best-selling CPU list. But no it’s AMD that dominates, holding seven of the top eight places. ....

Former Maruti MD, Jagdish Khattar Expires Due to Cardiac Arrest at 79

Jagdish Khattar, former managing director of Maruti Suzuki and founder of an automotive sales and service company, Carnation Auto India suffered cardiac arrest and died at the age of 79.
Jagdish was associated with Maruti Udyog Limited from 1993 till his retirement in 2007. Later, he joined Maruti in 1993 as director of marketing and went on to elevate as its MD in 1999, first as a government nominee and then in May 2002 as the Suzuki Motor Corporation nominee.
Before his stint with Maruti Suzuki, Jagdish served as an IAS officer with about 37 years of experience. After obtaining retirement from Maruti in 2007, he set up the foundation of his new company, Carnation Auto India that has a multi-brand pan-India sales and service network. ....

A company called Cherry Pal has a new Android tablet that is coming to market called the CherryPad specifically aimed at these folks looking to buy a tablet in the sub-iPad price range. [img]3[/img]
The CherryPad is a 7-inch tablet with Android 2.1 as the OS. An update for Android 2.2 will be offered later in the year. The little tablet has a Samsung ARM11 CPU at 800MHz and supports all Android apps. The screen is resistive touch capable and has a resolution of 800 x 480 and an integrated gravity sensor. Other features include WiFi, a microSD card slot, 256MB of DDRII RAM, and 2GB of flash storage. ....
