Tragically, however, she did not survive. For the past six months, 11-year-old Rilee Beisler had been staying with her mom at the Sun N Fun RV Resort in Sarasota, Florida. 11-Year-Old Girl Dies in House Fire Heroically Trying to Save Her Two Puppies On 5/10/21 at 2:48 PM EDT A young 11-year-old girl tragically lost her life in a house fire while trying to rescue her two puppies. According to a report from the Sarasota County Sheriff s Department, police have launched an investigation into the devastating loss after receiving calls on Wednesday that two homes in a Florida RV park were on fire. Witnesses reported seeing a young female enter one of the homes and although bystanders tried to render aid, the female never exited the home, the department wrote on Facebook. According to witnesses, the child may have been attempting to save her dogs from the fire. ....

So Maya, a 17-year-old student at Sarasota High School, reacted to the closure like a typical teenager. At first, it was actually kind of fun because it was something we ve never done before, she said. But as weeks turned into months, Maya became very depressed. She couldn t see her friends, or go to work at her part-time job. And even though she s back in school now, the impact of long-term isolation has stayed with her. ....
