Nearly 70% of the Lincolnshire adult population has received a first dose of the coronavirus vaccine and a quarter of the county its second, according to the latest figures.
Data released on Thursday shows altogether 596,153 jabs have taken place in the county between December 8 and April 25 a further 46,631 in the last week, and up on the 41,242 jabs given the week before.
The latest figures show that some 438,059 Lincolnshire residents have received their first vaccine dose and 158,095 have been given their second. ....

The NHS COVID-19 vaccine programme has opened up to people aged 44 from Monday, April 26, with further news around 40-43-year-olds to be announced later this week.
Nationally around half-a-million people will start to receive texts inviting them to get their coronavirus jab through the national booking service.
The government said more than two-thirds of 45-49 year olds having been given their first dose.
The NHS launched an TV ad which aims to encourage people aged 50 and under to get their COVID-19 vaccine. It will appear on TV for the first time at 7.15pm during Emmerdale on ITV (featured above). ....

A married pensioner who groomed and then sexually assaulted a vulnerable 15 year old girl has been jailed at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday.
Donald Arblaster, 71, sent flattering messages to the girl telling her she was beautiful and that in different circumstances they might have married.
Arblaster, who had been married for 52 years, went on to invite the girl to his holiday caravan at Ingoldmells where he sexually assaulted her. ....

More than 400,000 Lincolnshire residents have now received their first doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, along with more than 31,430 second doses meaning nearly 70% of the county’s eligible population have received a jab.
The weekly data released on Thursday shows altogether 436,083 jabs have taken place between December 8 and March 28 up 49,607, but a drop in administrations from 51,470 the week prior.
Some 404,653 of those were people receiving their first dose.
The figures show 320,754 people over the age of 50 have received their first vaccination and another 23,897 have been given their second. ....
