City of Yonkers Partners with Sustainable Westchester & Groundwork Hudson Valley to Launch Solar Initiative

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano today announced the City of Yonkers is launching an outreach initiative, in partnership with nonprofits Sustainable Westchester and Groundwork Hudson Valley, to bring the benefits of Community Solar to Yonkers residents. Five new Community Solar projects – the first of their kind in the city – are being constructed by solar developer, G&S Solar, on buildings owned by Robert Martin Company in the Executive Boulevard Area.
The initiative provides benefits for Yonkers residents as Community Solar offers savings of up to 10% off electricity bills while greening the local electricity supply. Promotion of the program by the City of Yonkers, in partnership with Sustainable Westchester, will prompt the development of more Yonkers-based solar facilities and will aid in the state’s ambitious climate goals to triple sol ....

Two industrial park buildings in Yonkers sold for $36.6 million

After purchasing a large crop of office campus buildings two years ago, Robert Martin Company secured a record-breaking sale for two of them Wednesday.
Robert Martin sold two Yonkers office buildings for a combined $36.6 million; the $280 per square feet is a new record price for a suburban Westchester office sale, according to Robert Martin. The two office spaces are located at 3 Executive Boulevard and 3 Odell Plaza, which are about 59,000 square feet and 71,000 square feet, respectively.
The buyer of the buildings was not disclosed.
Both properties are leased by Montefiore Medical Center through 2032.
Robert Martin which is based in Greenburgh, actually purchased the office buildings in 2019 as part of a larger transaction of commercial campuses in Yonkers and Westchester. The company bought a portfolio of industrial parks from New Jersey-based Mack-Cali for $487.5 million, including 11 office buildings in the South Westchester Executive Park i ....
