In its first major brand campaign since Defence Force Recruiting returned to the agency, VMLY&R has created ‘Your life, plus Army Reserve’. The energetic campaign demonstrates that you don’t need to give up your lifestyle, your career, your day job or your studies to join the Army Reserve.

Defence Force recruiting campaign returns with 'Your life, plus Army Reserve'

The Australian Defence Force has launched a new recruitment campaign, in the first major work since returning to VMLY&R.
The tagline “Your life, plus Army Reserve”, communicates that Australians don’t need to give up an established lifestyle, career, day job or studies to join the Army Reserve.
The 60 second film displays a range of different professionals, from nurses and lifeguards to soccer players carrying out Defence Force duties.
The Defence Force creative account moved to Havas in 2013, previously, then named George Patterson Y&R held the account for 13 years, winning a string of awards during that period. The agency won back the account in 2019, following a pitch process where the recently consolidated VMLY&R beat out Host/Havas in the final two. ....

The MADC announces new co-presidents, new committee and upcoming events starting mid May

The MADC, Australia’s oldest creative communications club, has been reinvigorated once more, with the announcement of new co-presidents Matt Lawson and Simon Thomas, a new MADC committee, and upcoming events organised to begin from mid-May.
 
Says co-president Matt Lawson, chief creative officer of Deloitte Digital: “The incredibly talented, and impossibly nice bunch of people that have agreed to join the MADC committee really is testament to the wonderful club that was rebuilt by outgoing president, Adrian Bosich, and the previous committee. They did such a great job of getting Melbourne together to inspire great work, while having some fun. And that’s a legacy we plan on continuing. Have the MADC be a place to inspire and conspire. Inspire great work through talks and showcases, and get people together to hatch plans to make more of it.” ....

Australian Unity shines a light on life's in-between moments in new campaign via VMLY&R


Australian Unity and VMLY&R have launched a new national brand campaign, ‘The In-Between Moments’.
 
Directed by International Emmy award-winner Glendyn Ivin, whose recent film Penguin Bloom topped the Australian box office, the emotional campaign tells a very real story about the smaller in-between moments that happen amongst life’s big ones.
These are the moments that are often so fleeting, yet can have a profound impact on our wellbeing.
