RIDGELAND, S.C. (WIS) - A South Carolina Department of Corrections officer has been arrested for smuggling lollipops laced with methamphetamine, officials say.
Dana Fisher, 39, of Savannah, is charged with distribution of methamphetamines, providing contraband to an inmate and misconduct in office. (Source: SCDC)
The SCDC Office of Investigations and Intelligence released the arrest warrants on Tuesday.

Thirty-nine-year-old Dana Fisher is charged with distribution of methamphetamines and providing contraband to an inmate and misconduct in office.
Officials say she brought Blow Pop suckers in that field-tested positive for meth. She has been fired.

Two Correctional Officers Arrested For Allegedly Bringing Drugs Into Prison

(Ridgeland, SC) Two correctional officers are in custody for allegedly bringing drugs into Ridgeland Correctional Institution.
Twenty-seven-year-old Xavier Capers and 28-year-old Joseph Bailey Jr. are charged with trafficking more than 400 grams of methamphetamines, misconduct in office, and criminal conspiracy.
This comes after over 450 grams of meth and over 360 grams of tobacco were found in Bailey s backpack earlier this month.
Both officers have been fired.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A lawsuit against the South Carolina Department of Corrections alleges an inmate attacked another inmate at a state prison while correctional officers failed to intervene.
The lawsuit states the incident happened at McCormick Correctional Institution in the upstate.
It was filed less than two weeks before an incident on Sunday at the same facility where authorities say inmates locked a correctional officer in a cell. The inmate suing, Joshua E. Brown, is from North Charleston. ....
