⢠The City of Rainsville annual spring cleanup begins Friday, May 28 through Wednesday, June 30, 2021. The city will have roll-off dumpsters placed behind the city shop for residents served by the City of Rainsville Sanitation Department to utilize free of charge. Proof of services via a sanitation bill is required and the dumpster will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. If you have any questions contact the Rainsville City Hall at 256-638-6331. ⢠The American Cruisers Chapter 49 its hosting its Captain Jack Memorial Run on May 8, rain or shine. Cost is $20 per bike, $10 per rider and $10 for extra hand. Sign-ups start at 10 a.m. the day of. Kickstand go up at 11:30 a.m. starts from NYMD in Fort Payne and ending at the ACMC 49 clubhouse in Powell. Following the memorial run there will be a 50/50 drawing and raffle prizes, food and drinks will also be available for purchase after the ride. ....
The Rainsville City Council on Monday night approved rescheduling the cityâs annual spring cleanup month to begin Friday, May 28 through Wednesday, June 30, 2021. The council approved the purchase of five 20-yard dumpsters at the cost of $27,315.00 scheduled to be delivered around May 19. As a result, Councilman Ricky Byrum suggested pushing forward their annual spring clean-up month to allow time for the new dumpsters to arrive. Following a brief discussion, the council unanimously approved the move to begin on May 28. âWe use those for our clean-up,â he said. âWe have so many out right now I am not sure that we will have enough for the clean-up.â ....
The Rainsville City Council on Monday night approved improvements to the cityâs Wastewater Treatment Plant. Rainsville Councilman Derek Rosson said the various upgrades, which will include pipes and manholes, are in support of the plant running more efficiently. The council approved the installment of five Manhole Extensions for the Wastewater Treatment Plant. âThereâs a lot of manholes that the seals need to be put in and raised up due to all the rain weâve been receiving the last couple of weeks,â said Rosson. âWe are going to go ahead and fix those five for sure, and I think they are roughly about $5,000 to $7,000.â ....
