PSL explains TTM Nedbank Cup medals saga

Apparently Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila players appear to be unfamiliar with cup final rules.
Senior players decided to return all their medals to the club today in solidarity with some members of their squad who did not receive anything on Saturday following their win over Chippa United.
PSL official Professor Ronnie Schloss has since explained that Vhadau Vha Damani will have to buy or manufacture their own extra medals if they want more.
"No, there's no saga. If you read the rules, the rules are clear," Schloss tells
KickOff.com.
"The club gets 35, and if there's more players they have to buy the medals themselves. Otherwise the club can come with 200 players. It's always been like that for every cup final.

Newlands Stadium to be demolished, no more PSL matches

PSL official Ronnie Schloss admits the dilapidated Cape Town-based Newlands Stadium is no longer fit to host football matches.
According to reports, the historic 51 900-seater venue will be demolished and could be replaced by retail and residential properties.
Schloss says renovating the old ground, which was traditionally used for rugby by Western Province and Stormers but also hosted occasional PSL matches, would cost more than building a new one.

Reports emerged last year that the Western Province Rugby Football Union has accepted R110-million from Investec for the property.

PSL official Ronnie Schloss says they will continue to wait for the government as a second wave of Covid-19 continues to cast more doubt over the hope of having spectators back at stadiums.
With CAF allowing some African countries like Tanzania and Zambia to fill at least 50 percent of their stadiums' capacities, South Africans started to have hope that the same thing might be soon be introduced in local football.
But Schloss insists the PSL will only follow suit once the South African Government advises them to do so.
