Sharjah's child-friendly projects highlighted during global online event

As part of a presentation of international case studies, research, and projects, Dr Hessa Khalfan Al Ghazal, Executive Director of Sharjah Child Friendly Office (SCFO), outlined Sharjah’s journey as the region’s first UNICEF-recognised Child-Friendly City and briefed the audience on Sharjah’s Child Friendly Urban Planning project which aims to stimulate and involve children and youth in shaping the future of the emirate’s urban landscape.
Inclusive spaces
Conceived by SCFO, an affiliate of the Supreme Council for family Affairs in Sharjah, and the Sharjah Urban Planning Council (SUPC), in partnership with UNICEF and UN Habitat, the Child Friendly Urban Planning project calls for assimilating safe, playful, and stimulating everyday experiences in the emirate’s planning, design and management of projects, and addresses the needs of children by incorporating their ideas to create friendlier, healthier, and more inclusive spaces. ....

Italy is all ready to get its first stretch of inductive motorway for electric vehicles that will push the country ahead in the race of electric mobility. A group of multinational companies joined hands to launch project Arena del Futuro which consists of the construction of a 1,050-metre asphalt ring powered by 1MW of electrical power to carry on contactless charging of electric vehicles, said a report by Motor1. Yves here. Somebody has to do the unpleasant but highly valuable duty of taking the latest bit of Larry Summers bad policy advice apart. A bit of stimulus, supply-chain issues (particularly related to cars) and some catch-up spending and suddenly everyone is freaked out about inflation. For what it’s worth, I’m not seeing it in my spending categories. Confirming that anecdata occasionally have merit, this post confirms that inflation is spotty, as in pronounced in some categories, like the afore-mentioned cars, mis-measured in others, and tame elsewhere.
Many experts expect these sector-specific bottlenecks to get sorted out and for the apparent inflation to abate. However, Covid in India is expected to cause additional supply chain stresses, so we may see price pressures in other areas. ....
