Gallery X Art Collective in Murray Kentucky says he has made some mistakes in his past and it s even worse if you got a tattoo to commemorate that. After covering some of his friends swastika tattoo s he made an Instagram post last June that simply said “If you have a racist tattoo and you want it gone, I’ll cover it for free. No questions asked.”
That was the idea for Cover the Hate. The crew has now received hundreds of requests from people all over the world who want to cover up racist tattoos they regret. King dedicates every Thursday to this effort and says his waitlist is still “probably 10 to 20 years” long. To help get to everyone, he’s enlisted help from eight or nine other shops in the area. ....

Kentucky tattoo artist Ryun King started the ‘Cover the Hate’ campaign last year and now has a waitlist from around the world.
A Kentucky-based tattoo artist is offering to cover up tattoos that depict images of hate, free of charge and with no questions asked.
Ryun King started a campaign known as Cover the Hate during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and now a year later has a waitlist lasting 10 to 20 years and comprised of people from around the world. 
During an appearance on America’s Newsroom, King said that recent mass protests against racial inequality inspired his business to cover up any racial imagery for free. ....

A couple of tattoo artists from Kentucky, inspired by people fighting for racial justice during the COVID-19 pandemic, wanted to help rid the world of hate.
It started with a social media post in June. 
If you have a racist tattoo and you want it gone, ill cover it for free. No questions asked, Ryun King and his colleagues at Gallery X Art Collective wrote on Instagram. 
King told Fox News that the idea sparked early on in the pandemic as they watched the story of America unfold … with the protests, inequality, and people standing up for racial rights … we were just seeing all these people pretty much risk their lives.   ....
