SEBI Nails Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty for Distributing Pornography; No Bail For Kundra

MUMBAI â Bad news continues unabated for embattled Raj Kundra and his actress wife Shilpa Shetty. Market regulator SEBI imposed a penalty of Rs 3 lakh on the couple and their company Viaan Industries for contravening insider trading rules.
Kundra, Shetty and Viaan have been fined for a three-year delay in the disclosure of an allotment of preferential shares.
In 2015, Viaan Industries had made a preferential allotment of 500,000 equity shares. Of this 128,800 equity shares each were allotted to Kundra (referred to as Ripu Sudan Kundra) and Shetty, the promoters of the company.
According to SEBI s Prohibition of Insider Trading Rules, 2015, the promoters had to disclose this transaction to the company within two days if it exceeded Rs 10 lakh in value. The company, in turn, has to relay this disclosure to the stock exchanges within two trading days. ....

Raj Kundra Case: SEBI slaps fine on Viaan Industries, businessman, Shilpa Shetty for disclosure lapses
Markets regulator SEBI slapped monetary penalty on Viaan Industries Ltd, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Ripu Sudan Kundra, who is also known as Raj Kundra, for disclosure lapses and consequent violation of insider trading norms. According to a SEBI order, a total fine of Rs 3 lakh has been imposed on them to be paid jointly and severally. Shilpa and Raj are the promoters of Viaan Industries.
The order follows a probe conducted between September 2013- December 2015 to ascertain violation of Prohibition of Insider Trading (PIT) norms by the entities. ....

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on Wednesday imposed a penalty of Rs 3 lakh on Hungama 2 actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra, her businessman husband Raj Kundra alias Ripu Sudan Kundra and their company Viaan Industries for violation of its Insider Trading rules.
As per the SEBI order, the fine has been imposed on Kundra, Shetty and their company for a delay of three-year in the mandatory disclosure to stock exchanges. The market regulator said the penalty has to be paid jointly and severally by Kundra and Shetty, who are promoters of Viaan Industries.
