Minnesota-based realtor Matt Moore, who is a Christian, said Friday he is losing his real estate license due to his beliefs on LGBT issues.
Moore took to Twitter Friday morning to ask his followers to pray for him and his wife, Tabitha Piper Moore, as his broker informed him he “cannot continue to talk publicly about Christian views [regarding] LGBTQ+ issues” if he wants to remain under his brokerage.
There are other brokerages in town. But there is widespread uneasiness about real estate agents talking about LGBTQ+ issues in the public sphere due to @nardotrealtor s recent change to the Code of Ethics. I wrote about this six months ago. 2/ https://t.co/jjoF428GbX ....

The market for entry level homes in the Twin Cities is extremely tight.
Author:
To be a prospective first-time homebuyer in the Twin Cities right now is to be a glutton for punishment. Rejections, each with varying levels of politeness, wash in like waves at the beach regular and seemingly without end.
It’s not uncommon for buyers to put in offers on a half-dozen or more homes before a seller accepts their offer, President of the Minneapolis Area Realtors Todd Walker told Bring Me The News.
Why is the market in the Twin Cities so aggressive this spring? And how are those that submit winning offers getting ahead? We asked Walker and Tracy Baglio, president of the St. Paul Area Association of Realtors, to explain what s going on. Here are five of the biggest factors making it hard for house hunting first-time homebuyers. ....

Housing affordability has been a major topic of concern for researchers and policymakers in recent years. Access to affordable, quality housing is associated with a variety of positive economic and social outcomes, which makes it an important tool to encourage families to thrive.
But historically, affordable housing has been out of reach for many. Low income populations and racial and ethnic minorities are often excluded from the wealth-building benefits of homeownership. People who rent are far more likely to be cost burdened by housing, according to Census Bureau data. And whenever income grows slowly as it has recently for certain groups housing affordability becomes even more of a challenge. ....
