Izabella DeLorey took her life in grade 9. How to remember her as Nipmuc graduation nears?

UPTON Izabella DeLorey was an outgoing, compassionate teenager, and a gifted artist, who wanted to study forensic science in college.
“She was kind and caring, and she had a contagious laugh,” said Jaiden Miller, a friend. “If she started laughing at something, no matter how stupid it was, everyone around her would start laughing, too.”
In 2018, during her freshman year at Nipmuc Regional High School, the 15-year-old took her own life.
“It’s going on three years, but it doesn’t get all of a sudden OK,” said DeLorey’s mother, Alizabeth Bouvier. “Six out of seven nights a week, I still cry myself to sleep. It does not get any easier at all, it doesn’t.” ....

Olive and John Chubb, from Herne Bay, were among many delighted to hold hands and see one another face-to-face for the first time in months, as retirement homes welcomed visitors indoors at long last.

Care homes first closed their doors to visitors when the pandemic broke out about a year ago. Since then, guidelines have changed on multiple occasions, but no visits have been allowed to take place during the current lockdown. ....

Coping with the pandemic: Experts advise people to reach out for help

If there was any time to get by with a little help from friends or therapists it’s during the COVID-19 pandemic.
That was the message of Wednesday night’s virtual town hall, co-hosted by the Cape Cod COVID-19 Response Task Force, titled “Season of Change, Coping During COVID.”
“We need to be physically distant,” said Larry Berkowitz, director of the Riverside Trauma Center. “The last thing we need is to be socially distanced. We have to find ways to support each other.”
He added: “Now’s the time to call that cousin you haven’t talked to in a long time, and call them again next week.” ....
