Provisions Wine & Cheese in north London has launched its new picnic hampers which are full of artisan produce as well as organic and natural wines. Available for nationwide delivery, the hamper includes goodies such as organic houmous from Variette in France, organic black olive tapenade from Puglia in Italy, Crottin de Chavignol goats cheese, Comté cheese, smoked ham from Trentino in Italy, pate de campagne from France, a tin of gordal olives, salted Catalan almonds, and bread or crackers. The hamper also includes a bottle of organic wine, with options ranging from Chateau Fontvert rosé, prosecco by Le Spinee, the orange 2016 Mogul by Mas Théo, or red Mas Theo - Ptit Gaby. A hamper for three to four people costs £49 with wine or £35 without wine, and a hamper for four to six people costs £79 with wine or £45 without wine.

Groups of up to six are now able to meet together outdoors, after the rules on social gatherings were relaxed on March 29. Last summer, during the hazy window of relaxed lockdown measures, I went for a picnic in London Fields. I wasn’t the only one. The entire borough appeared to have descended on the sorry-looking scorched grass. Apart from the laughable lack of social distancing, of which I was unwittingly a part, the most upsetting thing was the sight of dozens of Deliveroo drivers roaming the area, dwarfed by their backpacks, searching in vain for the right person to hand a pizza to.

The Royal Danish Academy – Architecture, Design and Conservation presents a talk by the Danish architect office LETH & GORI.
LETH & GORI´s talk titled “Daylight in Architecture as a Constructive Spatial Force” will talk us through their architectural design process based on an understanding that daylight is a morphological spatial and erosive force; spaces for the light to inhabit.
From Sir John Soane’s Lincoln Inn Fields to Gordon Matta-Clark and the office´s own works – transformations of traditional housing and cultural heritage to the new buildings.
The lecture is 45 minutes and it will be followed by an open 30 minutes of Q&A session. The lecture will be live transmitted from LETH & GORI’s studio.
