Phillies legend Bobby Shantz set to attend the Bridgeton Invitational Tournament on May 25

The South Jersey Baseball Oldtimers will be sponsoring Opening Night at this year’s Bridgeton Invitational Tournament - Spring Classic scheduled for May 25.
The tournament will be played on Alden Field located on Burt Street (Richie Kates, Sr. Way) in Bridgeton. The first game will begin immediately following the singing of the National Anthem at 6:30 p.m.
Prior to the first game, the Oldtimers will be honored to have former Phillies, Athletics and Yankees and 1952 MVP, Bobby Shantz, 95, make an appearance at the tournament. He will be given a tour of the All Sports Museum of Southern New Jersey located adjacent to Alden Field at 6.

 Hawks Talon Gaming Club, the affiliate team of the Atlanta Hawks, made three picks in the 2021 NBA 2K League Draft which was held virtually this year and streamed on the NBA 2K Leagueâs Twitch and YouTube channels. The final chapter of the weekend-long virtual DREAM Series took place on Monday in the form of an hour-long conversation between some of baseball’s most visible African American ambassadors. MLB Network host Fran Charles moderated a lively, insightful conversation intended to reach scores of young athletes who would, in more normal times, be on the field playing in one of MLB s signature showcase events.
Instead, retired pitcher CC Sabathia, former Major League manager Jerry Manuel, Negro Leagues Museum president Bob Kendrick and Charles had a back-and-forth online exchange that touched on several timely topics. All four brought a unique perspective to the conversation, but with one common theme: to encourage young African American athletes to continue to embrace a game still in search of ways to grow and become more inclusive.
