Parents hope for hero Norfolk girl Anastasia Hazell

Up until a couple of months ago Anastasia Hazell was a normal little girl who loved to dance and sing with her school friends.
But the parents of the seemingly healthy six-year-old had their lives shattered when in March this year a tumour was found in her brain.
Worse was to follow when Alexandra and James Hazell were told Anastasia had Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Giloma (DIPG) - a high-grade tumour affecting children with no cure from which most youngsters die within 18 months of diagnosis.

Ludham pupils say thank you to villagers with Covid cards

Primary pupils have been spreading some lockdown cheer by sending Covid-19 greetings cards out to villagers.
The children at Ludham Primary School and Nursery made the cards to thank the local community for its hard work during the pandemic.
The cards, which each have a hand-painted rainbow on the front, have been sent to a variety of organisations such as shops, the local doctors’ surgery and church groups.
Headteacher Mark Moore said: “Everyone is working 10 times harder than usual just to keep going and the children wanted to let the community know just how much their efforts are appreciated. ....

It’s a highlight of the final week of Christmas term for excited children at many schools, but a visit from Santa proved difficult this year.
Ludham Primary School and Nursery was one of the many forced to get creative.
The pupils gathered at their classroom doors and windows to catch a glimpse of Father Christmas as he stopped off to deliver their presents.
And although his visit was socially distanced from outside the school building this year, everyone was still just as thrilled to see him. ....
