The Grove of Elmhurst and Lexington Square are two local long-term care facilities with coronavirus outbreaks.
ELMHURST, IL Nursing homes were hit hard early in the pandemic. But some have had new coronavirus outbreaks more recently, including two in Elmhurst.
The Grove of Elmhurst nursing home has seen 98 coronavirus cases and 15 virus-related deaths in the latest outbreak, according to figures from the Illinois Department of Public Health website. Those numbers have not changed in at least a week.
Meanwhile, Lexington Square, an assisted and independent living facility, has seen 32 cases and one death in the same period. Its numbers also remain unchanged from a week ago. Its next-door nursing home, Lexington of Elmhurst, has seen eight coronavirus cases in its latest outbreak, but no deaths. ....

When her parents moved to Lexington Square Lombard, their lives changed. Sheila Kendall s parents moved to the senior living community 10 years ago. They loved it.
