Charles Bryon “Wally” McAuley, age 71,of Caldwell, Ohio, died on Friday, May 7, 2021, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Wally is survived his sister, Susan Hall of Brawley California, nieces Linda McAuley (Jenny) of Columbus, Melissa Deegan (Jeff) of Atlanta, Georgia, Georgina McAuley (Fernando) of Brawley, California, nephew, Tim McAuley (Annette) of Lakewood Village, Texas, special cousin, Sharon Robinson (Rodney) of Caldwell, and many lifelong friends. Wally is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Mike McAuley, and his great nephew, Adam Deegan.
Wally was born in Zanesville, Ohio, on August 23, 1949, the middle child of Dayle and Carol (Archibald) McAuley. He graduated from Caldwell High School in 1967 and then was drafted into the US Army. Wally’s commitment to service began when he proudly served his country in Vietnam from 1969-1971. He returned to Caldwell after he was honorably discharged and ....

'We just lost everything we own': Residents flee house fire in Lakewood Village • Long Beach Post News

“Someone knocked on our window and told us to get out, that our house was on fire,” one tenant who declined to give their name said. “I kept hearing this popping.”
Long Beach fire crews received a call about a garage fire at about 7 a.m. Saturday, Long Beach fire spokesman Brian Fisk said.
The fire was reported in the 4100 block of Greenbrier Road, just north of Heartwell Park.
When units arrived, they reportedly saw heavy fire and smoke coming from the garage and the attached house. Crews had received word that civilians were trapped inside the flames, however, Fisk said the people inside the home were able to escape and were huddled in the backyard. ....
