Liberty Christian Fellowship moves to church on outskirts of Invercargill

The church last month moved from the Invercargill suburb of Newfield to Kennington.
Money bequeath to the Liberty Christian Fellowship from its founders, Ernie and Lorraine Sinclair, helped to buy the old Kennington Presbyterian Church.
“The lease was running out [on the Newfield building] and we decided it was time to own our own building,” Stevens said.
The Newfield building had earlier housed the Stairs Restaurant.
There was plenty of space on the Kennington property to extend the church, Stevens said.
About 50 Liberty Christian Fellowship followers met weekly for worship at the memorial hall in Winton.
Numbers are rising there too and church leaders are thinking about owning their own building in Winton within the next two years. ....

Pan Pacific confirms Singapore-influenced...

It has been confirmed that the Pan Pacific London hotel, the first outpost for the Pan Pacific Hotels Group in Europe, will have a Singapore-influenced restaurant, bar and drawing room when it opens this summer.
Straits Kitchen, Ginger Lily and the Orchid Lounge at Pan Pacific London, located on Bishopsgate Plaza in the City, will be overseen by the hotel s executive chef Lorraine Sinclair and executive pastry chef Cherish Finden.
The menu at Straits Kitchen has been designed by group executive chef Tony Khoo and Sinclair and will showcase the melting pot of cuisines represented in Singapore, with dishes including wok-fry Singapore chilli mud crab; Scottish lobster nonya laksa; and butter-aged Buccleuch beef with roasted black garlic and Himalayan salted chips. ....
