India's Tata Motors raises $425 mln in offshore bonds to pare debt, meet expenses

Indian automaker Tata Motors (TAMO.NS) has raised $425 million through unsecured offshore bonds at a rate of 4.35% to refinance existing debt and meet expenses, according to a term sheet of the deal seen by Reuters.
In a statement to the stock exchange, the company confirmed the fund raising and said it will use 225 million pounds ($318 million) of the proceeds to refinance existing loans and the rest to meet corporate expenses.
The bonds have a maturity date of June 2026, it said. ....

Possible harsh Western sanctions against Belarus for its move to force a Ryanair flight to land could exacerbate its economic vulnerability and lead to higher dependence on its neighbour Russia, S&P Global Ratings said on Wednesday.
Belarus outraged the West when it forced the Ryanair flight from Athens to Vilnius to land in its capital Minsk on May 23 to arrest a dissident journalist and his girlfriend.

The World Bank now has $12 billion in COVID-19 vaccine financing available and will have approved vaccination financing operations in over 50 countries by the end of June, the development lender s president, David Malpass, said on Tuesday.
