1. Can you describe what the event will entail?
Reboot Rebuild is a workplace readiness expo, designed to provide a large variety of life resources, information and assistance. Participants are given an opportunity to visit with vendors to learn more about Rogers County resources to aid in overcoming barriers to employment.
2. What inspired the inception of the event?
Light of Hope and Claremore Industrial & Economic Development Authority (CIEDA) in partnership with Rogers County District Attorney office began this event to assist people who may have had barriers to employment, encouraging them to access avenues and opportunities to build a positive future.

With the opioid crisis continuing its hold on Maine residents, local employers are beginning to learn more about how to help current and prospective employees who are in recovery and looking to re-enter the workforce.

Vote For Bangor Area Non-Profits to Receive $5000
This will be the fifth year that $5000 will be voted on by the people to give one Bangor Area Non-Profit a boost to start the year.
At an annual meeting held by the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce, Machias Savings Bank will be investing $5000 to the Bangor Area Non-Profit that garners the most votes to receive the hefty gift. The announcement will be ZOOMed and be streamed live on Facebook at 3 PM on Thursday, January 28th during the meeting.
Right now you can vote in the first round of voting, which goes through this Friday, January 15th at 5 PM. This will narrow the list down to 20 non-profits for the second round of voting which will go from Tuesdsay, January 19th to Tuesday, January 26th at 5 PM

Aroostook County Commissioners reappoint Adams and Underwood for 2021 positions
At the first meeting of 2021 for the Aroostook County Commissioners, the board reappointed Paul Adams as commissioners chairperson, and commissioner Paul Underwood as the chief elected official for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
