Guillermo del Toro s critically acclaimed fantasy/horror film Pan s Labyrinth screens at the Nite Owl Drive-In on Thursday. The film follows protagonist Ofelia as she navigates life under Francoist rule in Spain and an overgrown, abandoned labyrinth full of mythical creatures. Nite Owl will show the movie for one night and one screening only. Warner Bros New Line set to adapt Wizard of Oz novel into movie ANI | Updated: Feb 11, 2021 13:35 IST Washington [US], February 11 (ANI): Children now have a reason to rejoice as the classic novel The Wonderful Wizard of OZ is heading to the big screen, Fox News confirmed. According to the outlet, the original novel by L. Frank Baum was famously adapted to the screen for 1939 s The Wizard of Oz starring Judy Garland. The upcoming movie will be a fresh take on the novel, which follows Dorothy and Toto after being swept away from their Kansas home in a cyclone. The Wizard of Oz will be produced by New Line, which is owned by Warner Bros. The studio also owns the rights to the 1939 film. The crossover means that unlike other adaptations, the movie will be able to draw on famous elements like Dorothy s ruby slippers. ....
