I have written about the prayer of St. Francis before. It so touches my heart. I feel so close to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit each time I pray this prayer.
Dwelling on the words for a while now, I feel I must pour out my heart, especially on this Easter Day as we Christians, once again, celebrate âThe Risen Lord.â
When we think of all the hatred in the world, we ask Jesus to help us strive to tear down the walls of hate . no matter what âhateâ it may be. ....

The first time you see a black Amish buggy on a country road, you smile. You canât help it.
When you see a sprawling Amish farm with a large barn and a tall domed silo and a man in the field plowing with a team of horses and, behind the house, a clothesline filled with the morningâs wash, you pull over and take a picture.
You feel like you have been transported back in time to a simpler day.
Then you notice that the buggy has brake lights. And turn signals.
And you think that maybe novelist Barbara Kingsolver was right when she said that the Amish are âlike a community type that went extinct a generation ago. But it didnât, not completely.â ....

FAIRMONT â After canceling plans to come to Fairmont amid the COVID-19 pandemic last year, The Mountain State Celebration is back on.
Led by evangelist Will Graham, the free, three-day event will take place at Duvall-Rosier Field on the campus of Fairmont State University in July. The family-friendly event is open to anyone. Graham is the grandson of the popular evangelist Rev. Billy Graham.
âWeâre going to have free concerts by award-winning Christian artists and bands, and then, very much like Billy Graham, Will Graham will get up and share a brief message about how people can find hope in a relationship with Jesus Christ,â said BJ Rogers, who is directing the Celebration on behalf of the Billy Grah ....

Church members are minority in U.S. for first time, Gallup says

WASHINGTON (BP) â Church members are in the minority for the first time in at least eight decades, with just 47 percent identifying with a congregation, Gallup said in a poll released Monday The number was 70 percent in 1999.
A growth in adults with no religious preference and lower rates of church membership among people who do have a religion are major trends driving the decline, Gallup said.
Younger generations hold the highest rates of those with no religious preference, including 31 percent of millennials and 33 percent of adult Generation Z (those born in the mid-1990s to the early 2010s). Concurrently, among those who do affiliate with a religion, declines since the turn of the century were highest among younger generations, with the share of millennials declining from 63 percent in 2000 to 50 percent in 2020. ....
