North Tonawanda City Council President Bob Pecoraro announced his candidacy for Mayor of North Tonawanda today. Pecoraro stated that he would seek endorsements of the Republican and Conservative committees.
“North Tonawanda is on the upswing as economic development can be seen across our city, and our efforts at revitalization are paying off,” said Pecoraro. “I believe I am the right candidate to continue this renaissance while also bringing fiscal discipline to City Hall.”
Pecoraro devoted over 30 years of his life serving the United States Air Force on active duty and commanded units from squadron and group levels. During his military career, Colonel Pecoraro found himself in places like Grenada, El Salvador, South Korea, and the Persian Gulf, where he was in charge of executing key missions on behalf of our nation’s military strategy. A man photographed in tactical gear and carrying zip-tie handcuffs on the Senate floor on Wednesday is a former Air Force officer who told The New Yorker magazine he stormed the Capitol because he believed the president wanted him to be there as the 2020 election was being certified.
“The President asked for his supporters to be there to attend, and I felt like it was important, because of how much I love this country, to actually be there,” Larry Rendall Brock Jr. told reporter Ronan Farrow in a story published Friday evening. ....
