Dr Alex George wants NHS staff to be rewarded for their efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic by being given spots on the new series of Love Island.
The A&E doctor, 30, told MailOnline he hopes ITV bosses accurately reflect on the past year within the new cast of Islanders and he ll be happy to see a medical professional follow in his footsteps.
In an exclusive interview Alex, who starred on the dating show in 2018, said he s even ready to pass on the baton to a fresh recruit because he feels old after turning 30.

Dr Alex Johnson says mental health education should be treated with the same importance as core subjects
Dr Alex George has called on his followers to help him secure a meeting with Prime Minister Boris Johnson about mental health education in schools.
The former Love Island contestant and Lewisham A&E doctor has been campaigning for better support following the death of his younger brother Llyr.
The 19-year-old, who was due to attend medical school, killed himself in July after suffering mental health issues.
Writing on Instagram, Dr George said: My number one goal is to help bring meaningful change to mental health education at schools across the UK. ....
