VSMMC to get initial 1,900 doses of Pfizer vaccine

THE government-owned Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) will get an initial 1,900 doses from the initial shipment of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
The initial shipment of 114,000 doses for the entire Philippines is expected to arrive between Feb. 12 and Feb. 15, 2021, Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH 7) Director Jaime Bernadas said in a press conference on Wednesday, Feb. 10.
VSMMC hospital administrator Gerardo Aquino Jr. said the number of employees who have agreed to be inoculated has increased to 2,904.
Given that the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine must be administered in two doses 28 days apart, VSMMC would need 5,808 doses. ....

MANILA, Jan. 9 Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin M. Andanar urged the Filipino people to look back to our roots this year by participating in the once-in-a-lifetime and year-round event of the National Quincentennial Committee (NQC), which is the 2021 Quincentennial Commemorations in the Philippines (2021 QCP). With the theme Victory and Humanity, this event will commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Philippine part in the first circumnavigation of the world, the Victory at Mactan, and other related events.
There are many depictions on what happened during 1521. Many perspectives can be considered. This prompted the national government to create the National Quincentennial Committee to provide clarification, right direction, and a national vision to our commemoration of Filipino history, said Sec.
