The 86th Texas Legislature will return to Austin to tackle Gov. Greg Abbott’s unfinished agenda issues in a special session that begins Thursday.
Abbott’s office did not specify what legislative priorities will be included on the special session agenda and said in an advisory that such items “will be announced prior to the convening of the special session.”
One is passing Republicans’ priority voting bill that failed during the regular legislative session. Democratic lawmakers are mulling how to try to stop it in the special session. SUZHOU, China, June 7, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Alphamab Oncology (stock code: 9966.HK) announced data from Phase 2 clinical study (KN046-204) of KN046(PD-L1/CTLA-4 bispecific antibody) plus paclitaxel/cisplatin for the first-line treatment of unresectable locally advanced, recurrent or metastatic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is presented in a poster session at the ASCO 2021 (2021 American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting).
Esophageal cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in the world. According to data released by GLOBOCAN 2020, approximately 320,000 new cases occurred in China in 2020, accounting for half of the global new cases, of which esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is the main subtype (90%-95%). The prognosis of esophageal cancer is very poor, with only about 20% overall 5-year survival rate and 3.5% 5-year survival rate for metastatic patients. There is a huge unmet clinical need. China’s Minister of Defence Wei Fenghe, visiting Bangladesh and Sri Lanka this week, has called on countries in the neighbourhood to resist “powers from outside the region setting up military alliances in South Asia”.
