Angela White Robins, 55, outdoorswoman who preferred a truck over a car any day


WEST POINT Angela White Robins, 55, formerly of Newport News, passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021.
Angela was well-traveled, living in places such as Hawaii, Texas and the Middle East. She enjoyed taking walks along trails and beaches with her dog, Rusty. Angela loved spending time with her family and being out in the sun. She grew up riding horses, enjoyed dirt bikes, and preferred a truck over a car any day. Angela had a love of martial arts and loved to shoot targets.
Angela was preceded in death by her mother, Monica Druschke.
Angela is survived by her two sons, Timothy Hanks and Brian Robins (fiancée, Joelene Lind); father, Paul White, and his wife; three sisters, Paula Moon, Allison Lind and Dianne Newman; brother, Chris Baker; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, in-laws and out-laws, and friends of all kinds. She got along with everyone. ....

William T. 'Bill' O'Connor Jr., 81, hardworking family man who enjoyed genealogy


William T. ‘Bill’ O’Connor Jr.
WILLIAMSBURG William T. ‘Bill’ O’Connor Jr., 81, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020.
Bill was born Sept. 10, 1939, to William Thomas O’Connor Sr. and Pauline Kelly O’Connor. He was raised in West Point and Deltaville. In 1957, he graduated from West Point High School.
He went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1961. Much of his time, he was stationed in Alaska. In 1967, Bill began working as a millwright for Chesapeake Corporation in West Point and continued there until retirement nearly 30 years later.
Bill was a loving, loyal husband, a man of faith and a hardworking provider for his family. He was an avid golfer, boater, fisherman and hunter. He also enjoyed football, woodcarving, gardening and family genealogy. ....
