Wilmington Journal's building saved through rousing campaign, telethon

WILMINGTON – “It’s the dawn of a better day for The Wilmington Journal.”
That’s how Paul Jervay characterized the success of a recent telethon to help save the 93-year-old Wilmington newspaper serving the African-American community.

In Saturday’s eight-hour Save The Wilmington Journal Building Telethon at Freedom Way Ministries, local hosts and special guests educated viewers and donors about the history and importance of the Journal, while also entertaining them. ....
