TOKYO More and more people in Japan are wearing one mask on top of another to prevent the spread of coronavirus infections. There are actually several aims behind doubling up, including seeking greater protection against infection, avoiding skin problems, and looking stylish. But does it actually work? The Mainichi Shimbun spoke to Intetsu Kobayashi, a professor at Toho University and specialist in infection control science, to find out more about whether we should all be wearing multiple masks, and what the evidence for or against a multilayered approach might be. ....
