Housebuilder Bloor Homes has opened a public consultation on proposals to build 650 homes across 97 acres close to Crewe Hall Enterprise Park, east of the town centre. 
Bloor Homes’ South Cheshire Growth Village proposal includes a market square featuring local retail and community uses, and a network of pedestrian and cycle routes connecting the clutches of houses within the development. 
Under the plans, the development would straddle the train line between Crewe to the west and Alsager to the east. A total of 30% of the homes would be designated as affordable.
More than 50% of the site would be given over to green open spaces, including a central village green, play areas, walking routes, community allotments, orchards and wildlife areas, according to Bloor.   ....
