This year, there have been some interesting physical releases from different publishers but two publishers stood out in 2020. XSEED Games and NIS America. XSEED Games has been doing quality physical releases for all systems but the company’s releases this year were beyond impressive for collectors. NIS America has a ton of Nintendo Switch games but two of the company’s releases this year are worth highlighting. Onion Games’ New Title Could Be Yoshiro Kimura’s Final RPG A new Onion Games title has been announced on the developer’s official website, and it will be noteworthy for two reasons. The first is that it will be the first sandbox RPG project. But more importantly, Yoshiro Kimura, the studio’s founder, director, and game designer, said, “I think this will probably be my final RPG.” There’s only a concept art image at the head of the announcement, to give people an idea of what to possibly expect. Kimura also mentioned how “this world is full of irrational events.” He also noted, “Can children ever hope to overcome this irrationality which adults have left unresolved? In bringing back the romantic, fairytale nature of RPGs, I want to discover my own answer to this question.” He confirmed too at the end of the statement about the new game that, “So, this will be my last RPG. I’m going to pour my all into it and if it ends with this, then so be it.” ....
