Detroit Lakes City Council previews assessment plans for $7.5 million road project
At an estimated $7.5 million, the street and utility improvements along Holmes Street, Willow Street and Frazee Street are expected to require special assessments from residents between $15,000 to $27,000 depending on the lot size and which services are being augmented.

Detroit Lakes City Council swears in new members
Wendy Spry, council member for ward 2, said she plans to focus on expanding affordable housing in the city. Aaron Dallmann, council member-at-large, said he plans to focus on the COVID-19 pandemic initially and hopes to help restaurants and bars as they struggle to make ends meet.
