Gems Education to merge Wellington campuses for next academic year

Gems Education will merge two of its schools in Dubai in September, creating one large campus for pupils.
The country’s largest private-school operator will move pupils from Wellington Primary, in Al Bada’a, near Jumeirah 1, to Wellington Academy Al Khail. The primary school will close this summer.
The move will create one of the largest British-curriculum schools in Dubai by intake, with a capacity of almost 2,500 pupils.
Wellington Academy, which is rated “very good” by inspectors, already teaches children aged four to 11.
The academy has high fees, charging Dh54,000 per year from Year 6 and Dh86,000 in Years 12 and 13. ....

Two children dead and driver charged with dangerous driving occasioning death - Criminal Law

Another shocking example of dangerous driving occasioning death has left a father without his two children.
Unlicensed driver Jacob Steven Donn is alleged to have lost control of his girlfriend s car and careened into Sheldon and Shane Shorey, killing them both instantly.
The 25-year-old was refused bail by Police at Dubbo Police Station and remains in custody.
Joseph Shorey, the father of the boys has spoken out about his heartbreak and urged drivers to be more careful on the road.

An unlicensed driver charged with killing two young boys when he lost control of his girlfriend s car has been taken off to jail in handcuffs after not applying for bail.
Jacob Steven Donn, 25, was allegedly behind the wheel of a red Holden sedan when he mounted the gutter on Warne Street in Wellington, in central western NSW, killing brothers Sheldon, 6, and Shane Shorey, 7, instantly.
Donn faced Broken Hill Local Court on Thursday morning, appearing via an audio-visual link from the cells at Dubbo Police Station.
He is facing a total of 14 charges and made no application for bail before being taken away by correctional officers until next Tuesday - his next scheduled appearance at Dubbo Local Court. ....

Gut-wrenching first message from mother of two young boys who died in Dubbo horror crash

Mataya s family earlier revealed how their little boy would need his leg amputated as a result of the crash.
The 10-year-old s family were given the heartbreaking news by doctors on Thursday. 
He hasn t been himself, he is wanting to see his little mates, Mataya s mother told 7 News.  He keeps asking about them.
Sheldon, 6, and Shane Shorey, 7, were killed instantly while walking home from the local pool in Wellington, near Dubbo, on Wednesday (pictured, left, at a Santa photo with their dad and siblings)
