Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister for State-Owned Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia, Erick Thohir, invited Singapore to further bolster economic cooperation.
President Joko Widodo has formed and appointed professionals to handle Indonesia s sovereign wealth funds called the INA. Many projects are prepared and are very prospective because they will provide good returns, Thohir noted in a statement received in Jakarta, Saturday.
While striving to control the COVID-19 pandemic, Erick expounded that the government had unswervingly striven to drive the economy. In the next three years, State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) will have 88 large projects or ....

Some Singaporean F&B brands have been called out for not taking a stand concerning the recent military coup in Myanmar. Graphics urging consumers to boycott Singaporean brands have been circulating online, especially on Facebook and Twitter.
The graphics said Singapore is the largest investor in Myanmar, adding that the country “is not respecting the voices of the Burmese. Singapore is supporting the dictatorship”. Accompanying these statements were the image of the Singapore flag and logos of Tiger Beer, BreadTalk, Ya Kun Kaya Toast, Beauty In The Pot, Crystal Jade Kitchen, and Ippudo being crossed out. Vivian on Myanmar political unrest: Live rounds shouldn't be fired on unarmed civilians

According to a press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he said that in particular, live rounds should not be fired on unarmed civilians under any circumstances .
A 20-year-old woman participating in a protest on Feb. 9 was shot in the head when Myanmar police opened fire on the protesters. She later succumbed to her injuries.
Vivian further urged all parties involved to exercise utmost restraint and take urgent steps to de-escalate the situation.
Exchanging their views on the ongoing developments in Myanmar, both Vivian and Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister, Retno Marsudi, expressed grave concern over the situation. ....
