Today 300 seniors received their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at the Betty Ehart Center in Los Alamos.
Nambe Pharmacy, Los Alamos Visiting Nurses, LAFD, LAPD, Los Alamos County staff, LARSO staff and volunteers will administer the second dose of the Moderna vaccine to seniors Sunday at the White Rock Senior Center.
If you received your first dose at BESC or WRSC, please check your NMDOH profile as soon as possible. You can only receive the second dose if given an appointment through your NMDOH profile.
For the second dose clinic Sunday at the White Rock Senior Center, participants will enter from Rover Boulevard onto Longview Drive and exit left on Longview Drive. ....

Senior Centers Tapped For Vaccine Distribution Jan. 30-31

The Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization (LARSO) announced this morning that the senior centers in Los Alamos and White Rock have been notified that they will serve as distribution hubs for the Jan. 30-31 COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic.
The New Mexico Aging & Long-Term Services Department has determined that ALL APPOINTMENTS, will be assigned through the Department of Health Registration Site at www.vaccinenm.org, or by calling 1-855-600-3453.
NO appointments will be made through Betty Ehart Senior Center or White Rock Senior Center.
“We’re so happy to serve in this role,” LARSO Executive Director Bernadette Lauritzen said. “The Department of Health can insure the registration, documentation and reminders for additional shots better than a small organization. We are deeply grateful for the collaboration with Los Alamos County staff as community partners.” ....

The Los Alamos Retired Senior Organization (LARSO) announced this afternoon that there has been a positive COVID-19 case in the White Rock Senior Center.
The building is closed today, Thursday and Friday.
White Rock seniors are welcome to call 505.662.8920 and reserve a lunch at the Betty Ehart Senior Center in Los Los Alamos for Thursday ONLY and the lunch must be picked up there as well.
The annual holiday lunch sponsored by Enterprise Bank & Trust in White Rock is rescheduled for Friday, Jan. 8.
“Your reservations still stand, ONLY the date has changed.
