Covid-19 update: No new cases in community, three in MIQ

The Ministry of Health s last update was on Friday, and today s statement says that all three new cases are in MIQ in Auckland.
One came from the United Kingdom via United Arab Emirates on 7 July, one from Malaysia via Singapore on 8 July, and the other from Russia via United Arab Emirates on 9 July.
New Zealand s total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases is now 2411.
The total number of Covid-19 tests processed by laboratories to date is 2,351,005.
On Friday, 6458 tests were processed across New Zealand. Yesterday, 4881 tests were processed.
These figures do not include figures from Waikato District Health Board as their systems remain down as the result of a cyber attack, however once the system is restored the data will be added to the tally, the ministry said. ....

REvil usually sets up anonymous chat rooms through the Tor server, through which they deliver threats and demand ransom payments, which often increase the longer companies or organisations do not pay.
Callow said it was unlikely that a state or security agency had disabled the portal as a means of stopping hackers being able to talk to their victims.
“REvil may have intentionally disabled access, or they may have made a coding mistake. It’s impossible to say,” he said.
“But REvil is uncontactable.”
The issue would be a problem for any victims trying to negotiate or pay, with there being a cost for every hour companies or organisations were unable to access their systems, Callow said. ....
