Crash
A Colorado man was injured last week in a semi crash on Interstate 70 in Ellis County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 10:25 PM Thursday, a 2017 Kenworth semi driven by 52-year-old Keith T. Balka of Centennial, Colorado was westbound on I-70 at mile marker 174.6 just west of the Russell County line when, for an unknown reason, the semi left the roadway going into the median and struck a bridge rail and an embankment.
Balka was transported to Hays Medical Center.

On the day of the event, high school students, parents, instructors, administration, counselors, industry partners, and potential employers will celebrate as students join their peers to commit to their future technical program pathway of choice. ....
