Thomas Allen Meiser, 77, of Lexington Park, Maryland, passed away on July 15, 2021, at his home with his loving family at his side.
He was born on October 12, 1943, in San Francisco, California, to the late Thomas Wilson Meiser and Florence Shepp Meiser. Tom grew up in York, Pennsylvania, where he graduated from York Suburban High School. During high school, Tom met the love of his life, Shonna Miller, at the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper at Tom s church. Tom and Shonna quickly fell in love and were married on February 14, 1964, in Dover, Pennsylvania. Together they celebrated over 57 wonderful years of marriage. ....

Clements Man Arrested After Robbery in St. Mary's Square, Released Within 24-Hours | Southern Maryland News Net

On Monday, May 3, 2021, at approximately 3:40 p.m., police responded to the St. Mary’s Square in Lexington Park, for the reported robbery.
Police arrived on the scene to find a female victim stating a male suspect stole a wallet from her purse as she was exiting her vehicle.
Prior to the arrival of police, the victim and a witness pursued the suspect on foot. Officers arrived on the scene and located the suspect exiting a nearby wooded area.
The suspect, identified as William Andrew Krell, age 36 of Clements was placed into custody without incident.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene for Krell having lacerations to his hand. EMT’s treated Krell and returned to service a short time later. ....

Two Detained At Gunpoint After Reported Canyon Country Assault
Two people were detained at gunpoint Thursday afternoon after two assaults were reported in Canyon Country.
Just before 2:30 p.m. Thursday, deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station received reports of a possible assault with a deadly weapon on the 26800 block of Oak Avenue in Canyon Country, according to Lt. Ethan Marquez with the station.
When deputies arrived on scene, two suspects had reportedly fled in a white Dodge Durango. Shortly after that, another altercation involving a knife was reported near the Starbucks on the 26500 block of Golden Valley Road. ....

UPDATE at 12/31/2020/@ 12:20 p.m. – St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Press Release: On December 30, 2020, John Sherman Greenwell, age 41 of Lexington Park, was discharged from the hospital into the custody of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.
Greenwell was arrested and charged with the following:
Attempted First Degree Murder (two counts)
Attempted Second Degree Murder (two counts)
Assault First Degree (two counts)
Assault Second Degree (two counts)
Dangerous Weapon Intent to Injure (two counts)
Dangerous Weapon Conceal
Resist/Interfere with Arrest
Greenwell remains incarcerated at the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center on a no-bond status. ....
