Youth theatre play to be screened in Mareel

A RECORDED performance of a play performed by Shetland Youth Theatre (SYT) will screen in Mareel’s auditorium this Saturday (22 May) as the arts venue reopens.
Mareel is due to open its doors to the public again on Friday having been closed since Christmas due to Covid restrictions.
On Saturday at 1.30pm a pre-recorded Shetland Youth Theatre play 
Tuesday, by Alison Carr, will be shown.

Shetland Arts said it is a “light, playful, and slightly sci-fi production, focussed on the confusion when a rip in the multiverse sucks up school staff and pupils, whilst also raining down new people”. ....

Garrison productions, library reopening unclear, Covid fund open for applications, food and drink directors

FOUR productions have been selected to perform at the Garrison Theatre in April as part of Shetland Arts’ Refresh Now programme.
The performances will be staged according to Covid restrictions in place at the time, but at the moment they are planned to be filmed and screened online.
You Made Me is written by Stephenie Pagulayan, directed by Morag Mouat and presented by Islesburgh Drama Group.
