LAHORE: Nonprofit organisations are a major source of relief for the poor in the developing economies; however, social or philanthropic work here in Pakistan is generally performed by the rich in an unorganised manner.
The nonprofit organisations registered with the government operate under certain rules. They are accountable to their donors as well as the state. They mostly provide goods and services to the poor on a day to day basis. The resources available with them are always much less than the needs of the poor. The rich also serve the poor from their own resources that are just enough to help a limited number of individuals, while the majority remains un-served. IMC vaccinates workforce against Covid-19

Karachi: Indus Motor Company (IMC) in collaboration with the government has initiated the Covid-19 Vaccination Drive for its workforce of 4,000 regular and contract employees. The vaccination process was completed over a period of four days.
The Company’s Chief Executive, Ali Jamali said that: “The Coronavirus pandemic has completely changed the country’s social fabric, bringing with it despair and misery. In order to return some normalcy to life, the government’s pro-active effort to control the pandemic through mass vaccinations, free of cost, is commendable.”
Jamali further added, “Maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for our people is at the core of Toyota’s CSR Policy. ....
