UW Plays Big Role in COVID-19 Vaccination Efforts | News

Students and employees of the University of Wyoming are playing a key role in Albany County’s COVID-19 vaccination efforts, ranging from scheduling appointments via telephone to providing facilities to actually administering the vaccine shots.
The multidisciplinary efforts are part of a partnership involving UW, Albany County Public Health (ACPH), Ivinson Memorial Hospital (IMH) and local pharmacies that has provided the vaccine to 4,330 county residents so far. Dementia Together Program offered through UW's Wyoming Center on Aging – Sheridan Media


Wyoming Dementia Together is a new program for caregivers offered through the Wyoming Center on Aging (WyCOA) at the University of Wyoming.
The goal of the program is to “create a vibrant, active community that touches every caregiver in Wyoming to harness personal strengths and local resources to ultimately provide the best care possible for those living with dementia,” Sabine Schenck, the project’s coordinator said.
The program is composed of experienced professionals who collaborate with caregivers to provide free confidential education and support to those whose loved ones are living with dementia. 
During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Director of Institutional Communications for UW Chad Baldwin spoke on the program.  ....
