The woman was charged with burglary and criminal mischief after deputies investigated a complaint of vandalism at the Homestead, the county s former tuberculosis sanatorium, deputies said. ....
April 21, 2021 A Marion was arrested this week and is facing charges stemming from a 2020 murder. According to Marion Police Department Deputy Chief Stephen Dorsey, 29-year-old Cody Hickman has been charged with Murder, Felony Murder, robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, a Level 2 Felony, Battery By Means a deadly weapon, a Level 5 Felony, and Battery Resulting in Moderate Bodily Injury, a Level 6 Felony. Police say the charges stem from the murder of 30-year-old Deandre Oliver, who was found dead from multiple stab wounds on Feb. 25, 2020. According to Dorsey, Hickman’s bond is set at $500,000. February 24, 2021 Police are trying to figure out how a missing Fort Wayne man wound up dead in the Marion Walmart parking lot. On February 22, 2021, at approximately 6:35 p.m., Marion Police responded to 3240 S. Western Ave. for a welfare check. According to Deputy Chief Stephen Dorsey, officers spoke with Douglas Reed, who reported that while he was driving in the Walmart parking lot, he recognized a red, 2001 Chevrolet, S10 truck. Reed reported that he is a co-worker of Glenn Henry at the Fort Wayne General Motors Plant and stated he believed the truck belonged to Henry. Reed knew Henry had been reported missing out of Fort Wayne since January 29. ....
