MACOMB The Spoon River College Office of Community Outreach is offering a Pharmacy Technician Program in Macomb this Fall. This affordable 12 week program prepares students for a career as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting. Classes will be held Wednesday Evenings, August 25th –November 17th from 6-10pm at the Spoon River College Macomb Outreach Center. In Illinois, obtaining a state license allows people to work as a pharmacy tech for two years. After two years, they are required to become certified by passing a national exam, administered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). This program at SRC will provide students with the basic skills necessary for an entry level career as a pharmacy technician in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting. CANTON/HAVANA/MACOMB/RUSHVILLE The Spoon River College Office of Community Outreach is offering a variety of crafting classes this Spring.
These short term classes are fun and educational. A few of the classes are for kids. Classes are held in Canton, Havana, Macomb and Rushville. Cricut Basics will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Canton.
Join them and learn how to use your new Cricut machine to create fabulous décor and personalized gifts.
Easter Floral Boxed Containers Workshop will be held Tuesday, March 9, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Canton. Students will receive supplies and instruction to make a beautiful Easter themed floral boxed container to take home.
