Grameenphone has won the bidding war for the last block of the 2100 MHz band after a long standoff with its rival Robi Axiata at the auction for unused spectrum.

The base price for the 5Mhz block was set at $26 million by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission, with Grameenphone buying the block for a price of $46.75 million.
The battle between the country s top two mobile networks lasted around seven-and-a-half-hours before Robi relented in the 80th round.
But both the carriers backed down in the 81st round when the price shot up to $47 million. Grameenphone were subsequently handed the block for the bid price in line with the rules of the auction. ....

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â A new project will help bridge the rural digital divide and bring high-speed internet to thousands of people in rural Missouri and Kansas.
The FCC awarded 17 companies in Missouri and 12 companies in Kansas grants from the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund to take on the project.
Charter Communications, which includes Spectrum, was awarded the most locations and will provide internet to 61,000 locations in Missouri.
This could be huge for our community, Tracy Brantner with the Johnson County (Missouri) Economic Development Corporation said. It s such a positive impact on Johnson County. Citizens are able to access the digital network they weren t able to access before. ....

“What should be our primary definition of success?”[1] Everything depends on the answer. There are many different responses that Adventist colleges and universities could give:
Enrollment
Percent who get jobs in their major after graduation
Percent who go on to get advanced degrees
Student/teacher ratios
Number of scholarships and subsidies provided
Number of professors with doctorates
Amount of research being done
Unfortunately, none of these provides an adequate answer. They are important, but not the
most important.
