National March 16, 2021 ISLAMABAD: Former special assistant to prime minister for health, Dr Zafar Mirza, has warned that if strict measures are not adopted, then the third wave of coronavirus could cause more harm and the situation could become worse than last June 2020. The government would have to deploy more vaccines at an accelerated pace, so the overall strategy for combating this deadly virus needs to be revisited, Dr. Zafar Mirza added. “The government needs to revise its communication strategy with involvement at the highest political level as PM, president, chief ministers, and parliamentarians must be involved to convey messages to help the public at large. Our parliamentarians do not wear masks as one adviser was speaking but no one had bothered to wear any mask. Now the PDM is going to arrange a public gathering and long march, it will be a recipe for disaster. The government must take strict administrative actions,” the former SAPM for Health, Dr. Za ....

Talking to Scott Miller, host of the famous ‘Franklin Covey Leadership Series, the seasoned banker recalled: “While we were heading for an inevitable crash landing, I revisited my journey on Earth and reviewed it, right from my childhood days in Lahore to my elevation as head of the Bank of Punjab. Right at the brink of this disaster, I first spoke to myself, and was satisfied that I had led a fulfilling life devoid of any regrets. And since I was a bachelor with no wife and kids to mourn my loss for decades, my likely departure from this planet to my eternal abode was not bothering me at all. And then I spoke to my God and said I was ready to go….” ....
National February 22, 2021 LAHORE: One of the two survivors of PK-8303 PIA plane crash, Zafar Masud, who is the President of the Bank of Punjab, plans to establish a foundation to work for safety and security of air, road and railway passengers in Pakistan and beyond. In conversation with former CNN correspondent Saima Mohsin in a session “The Survivor” on the concluding day of Lahore Literary Festival (LLF-2021) on Sunday, he went on to say that the Zafar Masud Foundation would work to create an awareness among passengers about their rights and to lobby with the government to make sure that regulations were stringent enough to ensure safety and protection of passengers. ....
