ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Thursday issued the schedule for the upcoming Senate elections, according to which, polling will be held on March 3 to elect new members of the Upper House of Parliament upon retirement of 52 senators on March 11.
According to the schedule, the candidates can submit nomination papers by February 12 and 13, at the offices of the returning officers. The list of nominated candidates will be posted on February 14, 2021. The schedule has been announced while a big question mark looms on the mode of conduct of election to be adopted. ....

Under the election schedule, candidates will be able to submit their nomination papers between February 12 and 13
ISLAMABAD:
The national and provincial assemblies will be holding polling for Senate elections 2021 on March 3, as per the schedule released by the Election Commission of Pakistan on Thursday.
According to the ECP schedule, polling will be held between 9am to 5pm.

ISLAMABAD: Asserting that scrutiny of funding of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) is continuing, the Election Commission of Pakistan announced on Wednesday the committee assigned the task would meet on Dec 24.
In a statement issued here, the ECP’s director for public relations, Altaf Ahmad, said the scrutiny committee conducted numerous hearings and submitted interim reports to the commission.
The scrutiny process was in progress after the ECP’s last order on the matter issued on Aug 27, said the statement. After a number of officials/officers of the ECP secretariat contracted Covid-19, the committee “adjourned the hearing proceedings till further order temporarily”. ....
