April 27, 2021 Outreach Registration is now open for the five-day professional development program âGrant Writing Essentials,â which will be held from 9 a.m.ânoon May 21 and 28, and June 4, 11 and 18 through the University of Maine Hutchinson Center. This synchronous Zoom program will teach the basics of grant seeking for new and experienced grant writers â from inception to completion. Participants will learn how to prepare an organization to apply for grants, where to find funders and funding opportunities, and how to develop the components of a grant and submit a complete and compelling application. The presentations will be made as part of the Jack Pine Project, a community arts endeavor organized by the Maine Folklife Center, Maine Studies Program and Hutchinson Center at the University of Maine. Both of the talks are free and open to the public.
