Hannah Fox has a bird's-eye view of Melbourne's coolest new arts festival, RISING.
My window looks out on to one of Melbourne's classic heritage laneways, with winches attached to the side of the building that
were used to bring textiles up to what was once a textile factory and is now the RISING festival's office space. Across the road is Mitchell House, this really beautiful art-deco building where I used to have my artist studio, so I'm back in my old neighbourhood.

Carrie Terroux-Barrett is the Director of the Colorado Horse Rescue Network, the service that provides rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming for unwanted horses from all over Colorado. A very important organization to the horse community, which reaches hundreds of people. They have rescued over a thousand horses, many now living good lives in loving homes
Sadly, Carrie is now battling breast cancer, so the horse community is stepping up to help her and her family. The horse community needs the Horse Network and it NEEDS Carrie.

To celebrate hardworking healthcare workers, Crocs donated more than $40-million worth of shoes to nurses last year and they’re at it again. In honor of National Nurses Week, the footwear company is giving away 50-thousand pairs of shoes to “healthcare heroes.”
Every day from now until Friday, Crocs will be giving away 10-thousand pairs of shoes for their “Free Pair for Healthcare” program. They’re available beginning at noon EST until supplies for the day run out and recipients don’t even have to pay for shipping. To get in on the giveaway, medical professionals can request a pair at the Crocs website.
