How Haryana is combating Covid-19

As the second Covid wave surges in the state, Haryana has started the Sanjeevani Pariyojana to augment health infrastructure and treat mild to moderately infected patients in the hinterlands. The pilot project was launched in chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s home district Karnal, and state officials say it will cover the other districts soon.
The project is a joint effort by the state government and the consultancy company Deloitte. The infrastructure comes from the state and the equipment from the company. Sanjeevani aims to ‘extend the medical ward’ by delivering help to those who can recover at home, thereby freeing the larger hospitals to treat the critically ill.
